HOW Our fish is delivered direct to us from Huon’s pristine Tasmanian marine environment twice weekly and immediately refreshed with experienced care,then skilfully prepared for sale.WHYOur relationship with Huon Salmon goes back 30 years including Jason’s 12 years as their Harvest Manager, so we know how to properly handle salmon to maintain quality and freshness. By focussing only on salmon and selling it at a lower price we can turn it over quickly and consistently provide the freshest fish.OUR STORYTracey and Jason Tomkinson moved from Tasmania to the warmer climate of the Sunshine Coast and continued their relationship with Huon Salmon by opening up a retail and wholesale operation in Mooloolaba.As part of the Huon “family” we know exactly how their salmon is grown and harvested in the crystal clear open waters of Tasmania in a healthy and stress free environment. In fact we can even tell what time of day it was harvested the minute it arrives into our cool room.Just like Huon we know that getting the basics right and attention to detail right through to the minute it is sold to you, will maintain our focus on you getting the best quality salmon in the world.We admire the high standards set by the owners of Huon Salmon, the Bender family, and apply that same philosophy right through everything we do.We are treated like part of the Huon family and that is something we will always respect.We also respect our fish by ensuring nothing goes to waste. Every part of our fish is used including the frames that go to a local pet food company and the heads are used by local chefs for a delicious fish stock.In fact All About Salmon is supplying fresh fish to a growing number of the Sunshine Coast’s leading restaurants because being as fresh as it is means they can sell a premium product and also manage their buying quantities more effectively because it stays fresh longer. It’s no wonder they call it the world’s most loved Salmon.Tracey being handy in the kitchen, also makes a range of patties and kebabs using fresh local products, to add to the range of all natural dips, pate’s, wood smoked Salmon and Ocean Trout.We prepare catering platters made to order for that special occasion or large function. As well as being available in the Brisbane Rd Shop you’ll find All About Salmon at selected Farmers Markets on Fridays and Saturdays.
